🌼 Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 3-7, as Sincerely in Song hosts the 3rd Annual Wildflowers on the Water at Lakeshore State Park—a free, family-friendly celebration of community, nature, and the arts.


Presented in collaboration with Friends of Lakeshore State Park, our Sustainability Partner, Rock the Green, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, this inspiring event brings Milwaukeeans together to uplift Wisconsin’s only free urban state park through live music, local art, interactive activities, and a strong message of community connection.

Founded by musician and advocate Sarah Fierek, Sincerely in Song pairs every song release with a non-profit cause, creating powerful moments of shared purpose. Through Wildflowers on the Water, the organization brings its mission to life—uplifting voices, causes, and communities under the banner of “Music Partnerships for Humanity.”

🎨 Interactive Programming & ActivitiesBeyond music, attendees can experience:

- A community drumming circle led by Angie Mack of Ozaukee Talent
- Live outdoor painting and make-and-take wildflower-inspired canvas art with Syd the Muralist
- Participatory art experience featuring three large green canvases hosted by Nicole Shaver, an interdisciplinary artist, where festival-goers are invited to paint their own wildflowers. Whether you're an experienced painter or just want to add a splash of color, come leave your mark and help grow a collaborative garden of art at Wildflowers on the Water! 
- A calming Sound Bowl experience with Ceiba Chavez
- Vendors like Honey Petal Farm & Educational programming from the Wisconsin DNR, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, All Hands Boat Works, and others
- A visit with MKE Urban Stables and the Milwaukee Police Department’s Mounted Patrol

• Limited metered street parking is available near Discovery World and Summerfest grounds

• Limited Parking in Summerfest's Lot M

• Consider using bike racks, rideshare, or public transportation (MCTS routes nearby)

• ADA parking in the south end parking lot

• ADA portable restroom

• 2 miles of paved/accessible trails-sidewalks, including kid’s prairie.

About The Artists

DJ Marcus Doucette

Marcus Doucette, longtime radio host and global music DJ, brings not only his voice but also his taste and style to Wildflowers on the Water this September. Expect a set of top class cuts and a lush landscape of music from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America that gets right into the heart of the grooves that connect our world. Good time to get down to move it all up ✌🏽& ❤️ vibes.

Klassik

Kellen “Klassik” Abston, a self-described “Black Pastoral Sonic Landscape Painter,” is an award-winning Milwaukee-born-and-based musician, producer, songwriter, performing artist, and community curator.  Named the City of Milwaukee's 2021 Mildred L. Harpole "Artist of the Year", Klassik's jazz-saturated hip-hop/soul, informed by years of traditional jazz study and Milwaukee Public Schools arts education, has taken him from summer festival stages and crowds of thousands, to classroom settings inspiring youth of all ages throughout Wisconsin.  

Malik Toure

a.k.a. Malik Johnson, “99TheProducer” is a classically trained cellist, composer, and music producer based in Milwaukee, WI. He is a Grammy nominated producer, for his work on Kirk Franklin’s Grammy award winning album Long Live Love and Masego’s “Studying Abroad, Extended Stay.” He has performed with the Matt Jones Orchestra, which led to a collaborative performance with PJ Morton on NPR's Tiny Desk in 2017 and worked on John Legend's Christmas album released in 2018. In addition to his skill as an outstanding cellist, Malik is a self-taught guitarist, and a formally trained pianist. Malik’s current projects include writing and arranging strings for upcoming projects, teaching, and producing his debut album as 99TheProducer.

Angie Mack

Angie Mack is a musical director, performing artist, blues educator and writer who has a wealth of experience and connections in the arts and entertainment industry. She has an intuitive creative aesthetic and process that allows for diverse creative communication.  Angie has over 20 years in arts project management and has successfully led international teams with great attention to detail.

Shock Tea

The pioneers of modern sitar rock led by SitarNik and recognized by legends from Metallica to The Smashing Pumpkins. They’ve sold out multiple times in Atlanta, and are now bringing their signature raga-inspired rock to Milwaukee. Shock Tea carefully blends the melodic and textural fusion of the Indian sitar with psychedelic inspired indie rock. Shock Tea offers a refreshing musical experience reminiscent of the rock, pop, and blues of the 60’s and 70’s while speaking to modern sensibilities.

Syd the Muralist

A Madison-based muralist and creative entrepreneur passionate about using art to bring people and spaces to life. Syd the Muralist creates custom murals and leads community painting events that make creativity accessible and fun for all ages. Her murals are designed to reflect the unique personality of each space. Whether it’s energizing a business, brightening a home, or connecting with a community through a shared experience. Syd the Muralist brings that same intentionality to painting parties, where the focus is on making something meaningful together in a relaxed, creative setting. 

Danielle Carroll

Danielle Carroll is the Chief Operations Officer and Voice Over Artist At Nexxlegacy. She is a globally featured Jewelry Designer and the Owner of Danaya Designs4U Productions, LLC. She is the Lead Marketing Consultant and contributing writer at HFL Magazine. Danielle is Tik Tok Influencer with over 11K Followers. She is the Executive Assistant at PR and Arts Agency, Content Creator and Social Media Manager at MMS Networks LLC. She is Media Coordinator for Life After Sports and on the Board Of Directors of Athletes Who Give. Her Website is  www.danayaazure.com. 

Sarah Fierek

Formerly known as a “recovering musician’, now recording and lifting others up along the way.  Sarah’s mission as founder of Illustrious Creative Works & Sincerely in Song is to: “Uplift, inspire and amplify non-profit causes and movements that better our world with our songs, voices and likeness of our brand.” Sarah is a visionary who is always learning and believes in the power of music and authenticity. Jack Tell

Jack Tell is a graduate from UWM Milwaukee studying contemporary Fingerstyle guitar performance and composition. With music inspired by the works of Andy Mckee, Pierre Bensusan, Leo Kottke, Antione Dufour, Kaki King, Michael Hedges, Tommy Emanuel, Stefano Barone as well as many popular influences coming from classic rock artists such as CCR, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and 90s rock such as Incubus and Foo Fighters. On top of being a gigging instrumentalist Jack also teaches lessons out of Brass Bell music store in Whitefish Bay, WI.

Holly Harnischfeger

Holly received her BFA in Ceramics from the University of Colorado in 1977. For years she worked in wheel throwing, clay slabs, and tiles. In 2000, she transitioned to Painting. From wheel throwing to mixed media painting, using charcoal, acrylic, photo transfers and encaustic wax, Holly has courageously embraced continued expression and exploration in her artistry. She feels that by combining different media she can capture the essence of her vision. During her 2021 show at the Grove Gallery in Milwaukee, “About a Vase” Jan Serr and John Shannon bought two of Holly’s paintings for their private warehouse collection which were exhibited as part of their Secret Garden show. Holly resides in Milwaukee, WI and continues to make, teach art and create instructional content as an Art Retreat producer in Wisconsin and Carmel, CA.

Nicole Shaver

Nicole Shaver is an interdisciplinary artist whose work investigates place, memory, and the natural world. Influenced by geology and often collaborating with scientists, she creates sculptures, drawings, and installations using found materials—transforming everyday remnants into layered reflections on time, belonging, and the landscapes we inhabit. Born and based in Port Washington, WI, Nicole holds a BFA from UW–Madison and an MFA from the University of Iowa. She has participated in artist residencies across the U.S. and abroad, including programs in Portugal, Iceland, and throughout the Midwest.
